MJ Property Services ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Information we collect
We only collect information we need to quote and deliver our services, including:
- Your name, phone number and email address;
- The property address or suburb where the work is needed;
- Details about the job, including any photos you choose to send;
- For NDIS, DVA or aged-care customers: your plan-management type and the contact details of your plan manager or support coordinator, so we can invoice correctly;
- Records of your enquiries and the services we provide.
We collect this information when you contact us by phone, email or our website forms, or when you submit an enquiry through a social media lead form (for example, on Facebook or Instagram).
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote;
- To schedule, deliver and manage your property service;
- To invoice you, or your plan manager where you are an NDIS participant;
- To communicate with you (and, where relevant, your family or support coordinator) about your job;
- With your consent, to send occasional service reminders, tips or offers.
Marketing
We only send marketing messages if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP", clicking unsubscribe, or contacting us.
Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information or share it for unrelated marketing. We may share it with:
- Your NDIS plan manager or support coordinator, to provide a service agreement and invoice (where you are an NDIS participant);
- Staff or contractors who help us deliver the work;
- Trusted service providers who support our business (for example, scheduling, email, payment and form tools);
- Government, regulators or others where required or authorised by law.
Social media lead forms
If you submit an enquiry through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta Platforms collects and handles your information under its own privacy policy. We receive the details you provide so we can respond to your enquiry.
Storage, security and overseas providers
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it. Some of our service providers may store data on secure cloud servers that could be located overseas; where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
